Description
This project was carried out for a small independent café in Bristol that needed a set of outdoor seating barriers. The customer wanted the barriers to define the seating area while keeping the front of the café looking smart and welcoming.
The barriers were made using lightweight steel frames with simple infill panels. Each section was fabricated to be strong but still movable, allowing the café staff to reposition or store them when required.
Project Requirement
- Fabricate multiple matching steel barrier sections.
- Keep each barrier light enough to move by hand.
- Provide a stable base to prevent easy tipping.
- Create a clean and simple design suitable for a café frontage.
- Allow space for future branding or signage panels.
- Prepare steelwork for outdoor use.
- Finish in a smart black coating.
- Deliver and position the barriers outside the café.
Project Result
The completed barriers gave the café a clearer, safer, and more organised outdoor seating area. The finished steelwork improved the appearance of the frontage while remaining practical for daily use.
